Toobin' Mayhem
Toobin' Mayhem is my submission for the Raylib Slo-Jam.
If you have troubles with scrollbars, make it fullscreen with the small icon below/right (or download the executable for Windows below).
It is my first little project in C and in Raylib, so it was a big struggle. Source code is a mess because I had to finish it before the 8th of January 2024, but I managed to do it and I am proud of that!
Play with the ARROW keys and CTRL to shoot. Shoot the driftwood as soon as possible, because hitting it will cause instant exploding of your floating tube ending in a GAME OVER. Shoot the rubber ducks to gain point. Be aware that these ducks are kamikaze ducks and they will explode next to you or even hide under your tube before exploding. Exploding will decrease your score with 2 points, but shooting a duck increases the score with 10 points.
Time, exploding ducks and hitting the boardwalk will decrease the air in your tube.
You can buy me a Ko-Fi if you want, I will appreciate it!

Dear Sander Voorn,
I hope you’re doing well! My name is Renil Mathew Felix, and I’m reaching out from Banzan Studios, the team behind SnackR—an exciting new platform that combines the best of TikTok, YouTube, and Patreon, specifically designed for creators like you. We’ve been following your work, and we’re particularly impressed by your project, "Toobin Mayhem" The creativity behind it caught our attention, and we believe it would resonate well with our growing audience on SnackR. SnackR is an all-in-one platform where creators can share games, animations, and comics, and engage with a dedicated mobile-first audience. This is built by a team of folks who have been creators themselves and have faced the same problems that young creators like you do. Each feature and functionality is built while keeping the ‘Creator’ in mind. We're focused on giving creators control over their content and its reach, and we'd love for you to be part of this journey. While "Toobin Mayhem" truly stood out to us, you’re not limited to submitting just that—we’d be thrilled to explore any other game or project you think might be a great fit for SnackR as well. If you're interested in learning more about how SnackR could benefit you and help you reach new audiences, I’d love to discuss this further. Please let me know if you’re available for a quick chat. Feel free to check us out in the meantime: Website: https://banzan.co/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/banzanstudios/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/banzanstudios/ I’ll also share a short video showcasing what SnackR is all about—this will give you a better sense of how we’re creating a platform tailored for creators like you: ~ https://www.instagram.com/p/DCVjW1LIM07/ Here's the actual app on Google Play. Another great mayhem filled game made with raylib.
Thank you!
This is great! How long did it take you? Also, what did you find the most challenging using raylib and C?
C was the most challenging, especially within this timeframe. Also the compiling and make files, I have a PHP background, so no compiling there. Raylib is easy to use.
My favorite so far, especially the theme, art, and sounds
Thank you! I've had a lot of fun creating it!
Sadly couldn't play it easily due to up-down arrow keys moving the scrollbar. Can you also upload the desktop version if it's allowed? The game looks super fun though. Especially loved the CRT monitor effect :D
I will later this week! Currently the game jam isn't allowing me to upload new files. In the meantime you can try pressing 1, 2 and 3 to realize the game.
